The Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Maiduguri, was carved out of the then Faculty of Social and Management Sciences. This Faculty offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Public Administration. In pursuance of its mandate, for promoting academic excellence, this conference therefore, becomes vital.

This conference has come at a time when environmental disturbances are compelling both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations around the globe to strive for stabilization to sustain their vision and mission. This quest for stabilization poses a challenge for dimensions of management in both public and non-public settings. Consequently, this conference is aimed at providing a premise for both emerging and seasoned scholars to brainstorm, network, and cross-fertilize ideas in revolutionizing management skills needed for economic advancement and capacity building in challenging environments.
